DAN WOLGERS

Born 1955, lives and works in Stockholm. Dan Wolgers holds a MFA at the Royal Institute of Art in Stockholm, 1985, where he later served as a professor 1995–98.

Dan Wolgers has exhibited every now and then since the mid-eighties at Galerie Aronowitsch, Stockholm; Anders Tonberg Gallery, Lund; Lars Bohman Gallery, Stockholm; Galleri Riis, Oslo, Norway and Stockholm; Galleri Magnus Karlsson, Stockholm, among others. He participated in Aperto at the 44th Venice Biennale in 1990. He had a large retrospective in 2001 at Liljevalchs, Stockholm and later in 2016 at Spritmuseum, Stockholm, in collaboration with author Lena Andersson.

Dan Wolgers work is widely represented in private and public collections, among them are Moderna Museet, Stockholm; Malmö Museum, Malmö; and Ståhl Collection, Norrköping, Sweden.
